Giancarlo D’Erchie is a seasoned VFX Supervisor with over 15 years of global experience in feature film and television production.

Born and raised in Switzerland, he has worked in mainland China, North America and Europe with a passion for storytelling and visual design, combined with an eye for detail and quality.  He has experience in all aspects of media production, including script breakdown, bidding, pre-production, live-action, virtual sets, mocap, animation, stereoscopic, visual effects, and post-production.

Giancarlo has most recently worked as overall VFX Supervisor on Amazon Studio's ‘Citadel Diana’ (Italy), 'Wynonna Earp' (2018–2021, and 'Locke & Key' (2021–2022). 

His extensive knowledge in set supervision, post-production workflow, 2D & 3D workflow and his ability to manage a wide range of VFX shots make him a valuable asset in the VFX industry. His project scale for VFX supervision ranges between 500 to 2,000 VFX shots, showcasing his ability to manage a wide range of VFX work and contribute significantly to the visual narrative of his projects. Giancarlo was nominated in 2019 for a Canadian Screen Award (Best Visual Effects) for ‘Wynonna Earp’.
